Hello! My name is Leslie Bravo and I am an incoming sophomore. I live in Kansas and I am a Mexican-American. I am deeply involved in many things. Just to name a few, I do band, I'm involved in a lot of programs/clubs, and I play highschool and club soccer. There is much more I could say but one thing I can say is that when I care about or am deeply passionate about something then I try to inform and influence as many people as possible.

One issue that I take very seriously is US detention centers for immigrants. The way people are treated is inhuman and not many people know about it. Many Americans don't take immigrants into consideration beause of many stereotypes that they give towards them. Many of these people only come for one thing, to have a better life or to give their family a better life than they had where they originally lived. Immigrants are willing to do anything for this. They have already been through enough. They do not need to be in these detention centers. It is time to inform people about this and take action.
